Finalists announced for the second-annual Twin Cities Indie Business Awards

 

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (October 9, 2017):  Fourteen local, independent businesses and individuals have been chosen as finalists for the second annual Twin Cities Indie Business Awards. The winners will be chosen for each of five categories by a panel of judges and announced at the event, held at Day Block Brewing Event Center on November 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. 

The Metro Independent Business Alliance, which represents about 400 locally-owned, independent business locations in the Twin Cities, holds the awards to shine a spotlight on those local, independent businesses which often go unnoticed in the public eye and are dedicated to serving customers and our community.

 

Categories and finalists include:

Founders: A business with a consistent and long-term impact on the local community.

BankCherokee  |  Bartmann Group  |  Milton Investment Company

Emerging: A business in its beginning stages and is stepping to the forefront of the independent business community

Healing Elements  |  The Herbivorous Butcher  |  St. Paul Media

Impact: A business committed to positively influencing the community through local sourcing and sustainable business practices.

Golden Fig Fine Foods  |  Peace Coffee  |  Wet Paint

The Gary Mazzone Award: An individual who advocates for local business in ways that inspires others.

Katie Dupay  and K.B. Brown |  Harvey Zuckman

Nonprofit: A nonprofit that exemplifies giving back to the local community and upholding the values of our mission.

Rêve Academy  |  Saint Paul Almanac  |  Tech Dump
